Hot Topic # 166:

Turn on the TV, open your mailbox, or scroll your phone, and there they are: political ads. This year’s are on track to be the most expensive in history — and Election Day isn’t until November 3rd.
With a few weeks to go, how are you feeling about the election?
  • Anxious. I'm worried about the results.
  • Ready for it to be over. Politics causes a lot of arguments in my house.
  • Excited to cast my ballot and make my voice heard.
  • I'm not sure...I've been so busy I haven't thought about it yet
Your vote is completely private.

While your party or voter registration may be public, no one (including family members) will ever know how you cast your ballot. Some women choose to keep their vote private, while others share their political views.
How do you and your family talk about voting?
  • We remind each other to vote
  • We discuss which candidates we like
  • We like to respectfully debate and share our political views, even when we disagree
  • We don't talk politics because it will lead to an argument
  • We don't talk politics even though we agree

Thank you for sharing!

No matter how you handle politics behind closed doors, you deserve to have your voice heard.
