Summer is expensive! Between the AC bills, summer camps, and the sky-high gas prices, budgets are tight.
What are some *free* ways that you're still finding summer fun?
  • Playing outside with the kids
  • Going to free concerts and events
  • Picnic in the park
  • Movie night at home
Shout out to free parks, events, libraries, and all the other services that make summer more enjoyable.
What is your advice to someone who is struggling to make ends meet right now?
  • Pick up extra seasonal work if you can
  • Only shop sale items ("Back to school" isn't just for kids!)
  • Apply for food stamps or go to the food bank (your taxes fund it, after all)
  • Spend time at the park or library instead of your home (to cut down utility costs)
